The SavageMan Half Triathlon bike course is the most savage triathlon bike course in the world. And, Björn Andersson is one of triathlon's strongest cyclists.
So, how fast can Björn ride on the SavageMan course? Can he break Josh Beck's course record of 2:42* or beat Ironman champion Chris McDonald's 2:48 split and 4:46 course record?
On September 21 we will found out and you could win an outstanding package worth over $2000 offered from sponsors Hed Cycling and K-Swiss if you have the closest prediction of Björn's bike split.
Only $10 buys one guess of Björn's SavageMan bike split. All proceeds benefit the Joanna M Nicolay Melanoma Foundation.
Closest prediction wins a $1500 set of Hed Stinger wheels.
Second closest prediction receives a generous package of clothing, shoes, and gear from K-Swiss worth in excess of $500.
* The SavageMan 2008 bike course is slightly different to that used in 2007. It is 0.7 miles shorter at 55.7 miles. The final, short climb up Foy Road is out, however a new climb, "Killer Miller", at 1.3 miles and 10% average grade is in. Best guess is the 2008 course is 30 seconds to 1 minute faster than the 2007 course.
