Raise Funds and Become a "TRI-TO-WIN" Champion
Fundraising is key to the success and mission of the SavageMan Triathlon Festival. In addition to helping the fight against melanoma,
those raising funds receive excellent premium awards courtesy of our outstanding sponsors.
In 2008 our SavageMan athletes and friends raised over $35,000 for the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation, the voice for melanoma detection, prevention, care, and cure. In 2009, with your help, we are hoping to raise over $50,000.
Please visit here for details on the excellent premiums and awards, including a luxury lakefront weekend rental, available to fundraisers, as well as details on how to set up a fundraising page.
There is a limited supply available for sale of the SavageMan bike jerseys, given to 2008 fundraisers. Visit here if you would like to buy one of these classic, truly savage bike jerseys.
Please consider donating or raising funds for the Joanna M Nicolay Melanoma Foundation and help us Fight this Savage Cancer!
Are You Savage Enough?
How hard is the SavageMan really? Am I Savage Enough?
That is a question only you can answer. The bike course of the SavageMan Half is extreme and is legitimately the toughest 56 mile bike in triathlon with 5800 feet of climbing nearly all gained in the middle 30 miles and 7 climbs with pitches in excess of 15%. It is a course that leaves no one unimpressed and no one unhappy, but it is also a course not to underestimate.
The SavageMan International, on the other hand, is a course designed for the more mainstream triathlete. A "Garrett County flat" and rolling bike - with one steep climb included to earn the SavageMan pedigree - and a gentle, rolling run deliver a SavageMan race with all the beauty and just a small sampling of the hills!
